The GeForce 8600GT 256MB will only allow you to play crysis at low resolutions and with medium settings in order to get a playable frame rate.
Crysis is a very demanding game and even the latest video cards have trouble running it at high resolutions with max details.

No the Processor and video card are great, see if it might be the RAM. Sometimes when you don't have enough RAM it will lag games up. Also Vista is a huge video eater try to tone down the interface and make it classic interface instead of the Vista interface.System requirements, crysis?
